We're the Allens!

We have always had a love for animals, especially reptiles, and our little family has grown so much over the last few years, that we decided to create Ethio's Exotic Zoo to share our love and knowledge of exotics.

It all started with Ethio!

Just days before her first date with Tanner, Taylor found Ethio at a local pet store in Kansas, where he wasn't very well cared for. Despite never having owned a snake before, and not sure what to expect, she brought him home and immediately fell in love.

A common ball python, Ethio is our oldest and biggest snake. He loves people and exploring, and is very excited to be serving as our zoo ambassador.

Ardi is large and in charge!

Our second oldest, Ardi is a pinstripe ball python who came to us from Florida. He loves to eat, and his chunkiness is certainly proof of that. Ardi has gained a reputation for having a little bit of a spicy attitude; he certainly isn't one to mess with!

Chicken Nugget loves to cuddle!

Our third oldest, Chicken Nugget is a banana ball python who can be a bit shy, but loves to cuddle once he gets to know you. Though Tanner is not the biggest fan of snakes, he frequently describes Chicken as his bestie.

Curiosity is Bluey's game!

Our fourth oldest, Bluey is a blue-eyed leucistic ball python, a more rare morph of ball python. With those bright eyes, Bluey sees all, and his curious nature tends to get him into a bit of trouble now and then. 

Ginger is a professional when it comes to naps!

Our fifth oldest, Ginger is an albino piebald ball python with a very cool pattern and some minor vision impairments. Most days, you'll find Ginger cozy in bed.

Arkham is just a baby!

Our youngest snake, Arkham is a black pastel calico ball python. The tiniest of our bunch, Arkham is one of our bravest snakes, as he loves people and exploring.

Ian is a mini velociraptor!

Our only lizard, Ian is a leopard gecko who is full of sass. If he isn't eating or sleeping, you'll find Ian trying to nibble on any fingers that get too close.

Toast can dig any tunnel!

Our first rodent, Toast is a Chinese dwarf hamster. He is very food-motivated, with his favorite treats being apple, papaya, plum, broccoli, and yogurt. Toast is also a professional in digging tunnels and occasionally models for extra income.

It's always a party with the girlies!

Our fancy mice, Onion and Basil, come from different, but similar backgrounds, as they were both rescued and hand-reared. Onion's favorite treat is pumpkin seeds, while Basil's favorite treat is carrot, but both girls love to climb and play.

Hiro always has wisdom to share!

A siamese, Hiro has been with Taylor since he was just a kitten, and now, at 13, he has lots of things to share. Though he can be a grumpy old man at times, Hiro is very talkative and full of love.

You can always count on Itachi!

Like most common black cats, Itachi only has one brain cell, but he has a big heart. When Itachi isn't playing with his toys, you'll find him trying to help us care for our other animals, though he can be a bit too eager sometimes.
